DishFork is a recipe app: you save recipe cards, tune them over time, chat with a cooking assistant, and optionally share cards with other cooks. This page explains what the app stores and why. DishFork is made by Peach Byte Labs, LLC.

What we store

• Account. You sign in with Apple. We store the identifier Apple gives us for your account and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. We never see your Apple password.
• Your content. Recipe cards and their version history, photos you attach to cards, chat conversations with Sous, dietary preferences, and your public username if you set one.
• Cooks and ratings. When you tap I cooked this (or finish Cook Mode and save), we store that you cooked the card, your rating, and your note. On a card you've made public, those appear in the community Kitchen with your username or first name. On a private card only you see them.
• Bookmarks import. If you import a Safari bookmarks export, the file is read once to find recipe links and is not stored; only the recipes you choose to import are saved, along with the link each came from.
• Problem reports. If you tap Report a problem, the app sends the item you reported (for example the recent messages of that Sous conversation, or the recipe import that failed), the error behind it, your note, and the app version to the developer so it can be fixed. Nothing is sent unless you tap it.
• Technical logs. Standard server logs (request paths, timestamps, error messages) kept briefly to keep the service running.

How it's used

• To show you your own recipes on your devices.
• AI processing. When you import, generate, or ask Sous to change a recipe, the recipe text and your instruction are sent to an AI provider (currently Anthropic; Google for optional image generation) to produce the result. Those requests aren't used to train their models under our agreements. Dietary preferences may be included so suggestions respect them.
• Sharing. A card is private unless you make it public or share its link. Public cards show your username (or first name) and can be forked by other cooks. Anyone with a card's link can view it and fork it. You can make a card private again or regenerate its link at any time; existing forks remain with their owners.

What we don't do

• No advertising, no selling of data, no tracking across other apps or sites.

Where it lives

Data is stored on servers hosted by Fly.io in the United States, encrypted in transit.

Your choices

• Sign out from Settings at any time.
• To delete your account and all of its data, email support@dishfork.io from the address on your account. Deletion is completed within 30 days.
